Lemon Drop Cracks the Case!

photo by jane shirek
When last seen, Lemmie, the Wondrous Bat Dog a.k.a Lemon Drop, was walking the lonely road that only super heros and wondrous bat dogs walk, listening for any clues as savage lizards watch as the hot sun and wicked wind beat down upon Lemon Drop.  As she blazed the trail to justice a tragic story by William Makepeace Thackeray whirled over and over like a annoying earwig wiggling in her mind.

There lived a sage in the days of yore,
And he a handsome pigtail wore;
But wondered much, and sorrowed more,
Because it hung behind him.
He mused upon this curious case,
And swore he’d change the pigtail’s place,
And have it hanging at his face,
Not dangling there behind him.
Says he, “The mystery I’ve found -
I’ll turn round,” - he turned him around;
But still it hung behind him.
Then round and round, and out and in,
All the day the puzzled sage did a pin -
The pigtail hung behind him.
And right, and left, and round about,
And up, and down, and in, and out
He turned; but still the pigtail stout
Hung steadily behind him
And though his efforts never slack,
And though he twist, and twirl, and tack,
Alas!
Against all doggie-odds Lemmie sniffed out a bone which for those of you who don't remember it was the miraculous Youtan Poluo flower.  From the flower's scent Lemmie deducted that the seductive perfume was surely coming from the East.  Yes, the East is where she would find those smugglers and the flower's source... That's when Lemmie completely fell off the map, not hide nor hare had been seen or heard from her for weeks.  There were plenty of rumors though of Lemmie’s demise flying around, while a very frightened world held its breath, waiting and hoping for Lemmie’s safe return.  Now, Lemon Drop returns to her adoring fans a heroine once again with the Youtan Poluo flowers and it Buddha source --

Yes, Lemon Drop has cracked the case of Youtan Poluo flower!

 Kyu a.k.a Little Puss, a notorious and elusive criminal with a record nine miles long, was caught red-pawed, pulling all the strings in the Youtan Poluo flower smuggling ring from his comfy porch, in a remote town called East Chatham.

However, there's a wrinkle in this story, Little Puss loudly meows he’s innocent! Could it be true? Did Lemmie nail the wrong puss?

Stay glued to Zingertalesandmore for an exclusive interview with Lemon Drop and Kyu a.k.a Little Puss! I’m Ana Traina and this is Zingertales.
